  2. Piumazzo anti-cave (2010)

    Piumazzo anti-cave (2010)audio art exhibition

Steffen Klaue and audio producer Trimaxis put together / arranged a soundscape for an exhibition in the town of Piumazzo in Italy. In the near future, a global company plans to mine this beautiful town in Italy, which holds thousands of years of tradition. In an attempt to prevent this action, the local community gathered some selected artists to highlight the importance of the preservation of their land.

  3. infinity.lab GmbH (2002-2010)
In 2002 Steffen founded a company with three of his friends in digital media production. The inter-disciplined team‘s skill range varied widely, from interactive design to web development to product design and engineering. They worked on various projects for different clients in eGovernment, web development, concepts for urban re-development and print design, just to name a few…. The work was not purely technically based; they diversified their projects to extend towards creative input outside of their specialized knowledge base.

  4. Fishpond (2010)interactive video art installation
In mid 2010 in Bologna/Italy a collection of international artists were involved in the exhibition called Fishpond interactive video art installation and had the theme fuochi fatui (light which disappears when approached). When an individual or group walked towards some of the selected works, they would disappear. The work Steffen was involved in included a video projection of gold fish on the floor at the end of a tunnel. From many visual cuts of the fish‘s behavior in the interactive pre made movie, the fish would react like those in  real life based on your proximity.

  5. Digital image to touch (2007)Bachelor project

In 2007, Steffen wrote his bachelor thesis on the affect of digital images on the mind. Due to the mass of storage facilities available within digital imagery in the modern world, the interest drawn towards the affect of images related to an individual’s memory ultimately affect‘s one‘s relationship to the original memory. He developed a prototype of a physically flexible display with a user interface built similarly to the array of touch products available on the market today.

  6. Putz ab (2007)a sequence of photographic art

This project consists of a collection of photographs taken over a period of time in different cities including: Prag, Vienna, Venice, Berlin etc. The theme was to `discover your shape.` Based on the photos taken, the idea was for each individual to interpret the shape whilst viewing the photo. Decaying walls were also part of the theme.

  7. Krasser Schimmer (2005)interactive art installation

The Krasser Schimmer exhibition in the port museum Spreicher XI in Bremen revolved around a lighthouse theme. When entering the room of the exhibition, the visitor was confronted with a panoramic setting. Steffen made an interactive flash application that was sensitive to the volume of the individual in the centre of the room. There, the individual could whisper, yell or scream into a horn and see the effect of their voice’s volume on the water level in the flash application. It was interesting to hear people screaming and shouting in an art exhibition. :)
